Premium SMS are messages that cost a certain tariff per message is coupled to a service. The costs of this message are for the customer ordering the service. The customer needs to send a sms message to a shortcode e.g. 60070. There are two ways how these cost can be billed to the customer: through sending a message to the shortcode (MO = Mobile Originated) or receiving a message (MT = Mobile Terminated) that the customer receives after sending a message to the shortcode.
The tariffs that can be linked to the use of shortcodes and the use of either or both MO and MT billing differ per country. This has to do with the different laws and rules in every country that have to do with mobile services. XSGranted is always up to date with the current rules and laws concerning mobile services in every country.
